You could surrender them. If it doesn't hurt you, and you can just let someone else do it, then why not give them to someone who would care? Someone who would attempt to love them? You're a coward. You would rather turn your back to a creature and play god with their life, not even giving them the hope of comfort in their final moments from someone they know. How dare you. They will die. A creature with a personality and memories of you will be dying. Because you signed a dotted line. Coward.
