Did you comfort your pet? Make it as gentle as possible?
We brought Bento's favorite blanket, something between him and the cold floor. We fed him treats constantly the day before. He must have though it was Christmas with all the little goodies he was getting. He knew something was wrong when he got to the vet's office. We used that blanket to cover his face afterwards. I went to a nicer vet for Tigtig. They had a separate room for euthanasia. Low lighting, carpeted floor with several very nice pet cushions. Chairs, tissues, water. It was peaceful. Once she was sedated I rearranged her body to a position I knew she liked. One she slept in often. She would sleep in forever.
